Twiga means giraffe. Moran is the young Maasai warrior. Two souls of Kenya that come together in this house: the calm of nature and the energy of those who live in it. We are inside the Waridi Village, on Temple Point Road in Watamu, a quiet residence of white houses with makuti roofs, wrapped in palms, banana trees and bougainvillea.
We rent out the whole house, never single rooms: two double bedrooms with solid wood beds and canopy mosquito nets, a living room furnished with sculptures, masks and fabrics collected along the Swahili coast, the veranda and the garden. Up to four guests, and nobody else.
Right in front of the village entrance there is private beach access: you walk to the sea without crossing hotels or beach clubs. The pool stays warm until sunset. No hotels, no queues: just a real house, with its staff, its garden and its silence.

At the arrivals exit, after baggage claim, you find the driver holding a sign with your name. He gives you a hand with the suitcases.

Private vehicle with air conditioning and cold water on board. No stops, no other passengers: you arrive at the front door.
Waiting time included up to 60 minutes from landing. The transfer is paid together with the stay, not to the driver. If you prefer to sort it out yourself, no problem: a taxi from Malindi airport is easy to find right outside.

No, the house is always rented in its entirety. There are two double bedrooms and the maximum is four guests: you will never share the spaces with other travellers.
How far is the sea?
Right in front of the village entrance there is a private beach access, a few minutes away on foot without going through hotels or beach clubs. The main beach of Watamu is about 400 metres away.
What is the minimum stay?
Seven nights in every season, rising to ten between 15 December and 6 January. For stays longer than two weeks there is a dedicated discount.
What is included in the price?
Daily cleaning and linen change, water, electricity and generator, Wi-Fi, air conditioning, use of the pool and garden, private beach access and 24-hour security.
How do you get here from Malindi or Mombasa?
The nearest airport is Malindi (MYD), about 30 km and 35 minutes away. From Mombasa (MBA) it is about 120 km and two and a half hours. We arrange a private transfer with a driver who waits for you at the terminal exit holding a sign with your name.
Do I have to pay when I send the request?
No. The request is free and without obligation: within 24 hours we confirm availability and the final quote. Cancellation is free up to 30 days before arrival.
When is the best time to come to Watamu?
From December to March the weather is dry and sunny. July and August are cooler and breezier, ideal if you don't like intense heat. April, May and June are the months of the long rains: it costs less and the beaches are empty.
Can I bring pets?
No, unfortunately pets are not allowed in the house.
